New internet router Zigbee2MQTT

Hi everyone,

I am pretty new to Home Assistant and I am running Home assistant for 2 months now. I use Zigbee2MQTT with a sonoff zigbee dongle with works just fine until now.

I want to install a different internet router with OpenWRT. De router work fine and internet is up and running. But when I start HA, my zigbee devices are unavailable. All the other (wifi) devices like a Shelly switch work just fine.

Z2M starts and all zigbee devise are available. In de webinterface of Z2M I can control al the lights en switches. But in HA they are all unavailable.

When I hook up the old internet router, z2m work fine again and all the zigbee divices are available in HA once again.

Is this a known problem? And does anyone have a solution for this?

Check your MQTT broker.

…in Z2M.

I assume the IP of the broker changed with the new router, and the new value was not set in Z2M.

The broker runs local in Home Assistant. So Z2M connects local and no server was set in the config. Only username and password.

So both MQTT and Z2M run as addons?

Yes, they are

Nothing in the Z2M log?

No… nothing in the Z2M log.

So I checked the MQTT integration settings. The IP adres here was incorrect. After de ip update, al the zigbee devices where available again with the new router. So it was a ip adress problem after all.

Thank you for your help.
