New openzwave integration: dimmers not working correctly

I was having issues with the old zwave integration (entities disappearing) so I figured it would be a good time to rebuild the network and migrate over to the new OpenZwave integration.

I unpaired all my devices with the old integration then added them with the new one and didn’t have any issues.

Once I had everything paired I noticed that my dimmer switches (both GE and Inovelli) are acting strange. They either turn on/off extremely slowly (ramping the brightness up/down over the course of a few minutes) or just completely unresponsive. My On/Off switches work fine as does my fan switch.

There is a big difference whether you switch them on/off by using the Switch or the Level. The Level is bugged in this version of HA and should be fixed soon hopefully (1 percent brightness per second or something I think). As for the unresponsiveness, what do the logs say? For me when the switches are available but HA won’t use (some) of them I restart HA (just HA, not OZW) and it works fine after.

There was a change to the OZW way of handling dimmer transitions, should be fixed in 0.114.

**Update: nevermind. I had some automation code affecting this. I’ve corrected it. **

@BmoreThor I cannot turn my dimmer switches off in Lovelace, are you having the same problem?

I can turn my GE Light Switches off in Lovelace, but not my GE and Inovelli dimmers. Nor will the light.turn_off service call work. The brightness slider works and the physical switch works.

Can anyone help me? I have a enerwave dimmer that I’m trying to get to work properly. You can get it to turn on by clicking a switch in HA a few times. Automations in node-red don’t work for it. Tried to just do a light.turn_off but it still doesn’t work. My understanding is that this should be corrected in new versions of OZW and or HA. Really I could deal with things if I could just have the dimmer turn off via an node-red automation.

I got my GE dimmers working, my linear and enerwave ones I guess I’m SOL until there is an update to OZW.
