I see. I thought those different routes being the same work - but they are not. So we have different routes for the same intent. Results might vary, obviously.
Hello, thank you for your work. I've followed all the step on my configuration. After playing the script i has this message : HA Discovery complete! All entities published for cam-chambre. But, when i check in HA, I don't find the new entities even after restarting.
Do I need to de something else in order to view in the new entities ?
Thank you by advance.
I tried two different memory cards, formatted them in the CAM PT2, the the Raspberry Pi Imager seems to work. However, afterwards the usb-drive is not found again on my Windows-system. When I install it in the cam, noting happens after the standard start.
Hi,
i just bought and installed this camera and I wanted to share my experience.
First it works like a charm:
- 1st step with EWeLink Though I donât want that thing. New firmware installed, motion detection⌠and creation of an account for onvid/rtsp
- Then integration in my home assistant. Few seconds and it worked. I followed your great link to have everything working. https://help.sonoff.tech/docs/How-to-Integrate-SONOFF-CAMPT2-into-Home-Assistant#1._Introduction
- But I discovered what I feared. The camera sends everything on servers out of your home even if you donât use the iOS application. I didnât want to use an alternative firmware so I just blocked the camera on my router (my internet provider router is a complete power user friendly one). Now, EWeLink refuses to work because it doesnât see any camera (not plugged or no networks does it warn) but it works like a charm with my home assistant server and iOS application.
- one small bad thing: to be sure being âaloneâ with my family, I plugged the camera in a sonoff plug so I can shut it down when at home. But each time camera reboots, the position of the camera changes (PTZ is the name I think) and I have to set it up manually with the applicationâs arrows. If you know how to script it , it would be great.
So, at last a camera I could buy and set like free without changing anything. I had a raspberry pi with small inexpensive camera and motion eye till now.
Thanks for this topic !
