New Sonoff Moisture Sensor MS01

Hi
There is a new water proof moisture sensor from Sonoff, part number MS01.

It connects to the Sonoff TH16, but I use Tasmota. Flashing this device is easy, but there is not choice “yet” for this sensor. At least I don’t think there is.

Question: Does anyone know if there is work around to get this sensor to work in Tasmota firmware because it’s not in the sensor menu drop down “yet”? Or do you know any other creative way to get it to work in tasmota?

Thanks in advance!

I’ll join this queue - all my TH10s are Tasmota - but of course don’t support the new MS01 - the connector is GPIO14 (as used for the temperature sensor). Just need Tasmota to recognise the MS01 if anyone’s up to it.

Me too… I just assumed there would be a configuration for it. The temperature works if configured as a DS1820. Might be time for some learning on my part.

I would also be interested in this. I don’t like ewelink way of working. Sensor value seems to be not reliable like this. I would prefer tasmota, without any sonoff cloud solution.

I wrote some code to support MS01 in Tasmota. If you want to try it out you can compile the development branch, or you will have to wait just a little.

This is awesome, thanks so much for working on this!! Looking forward to using this sensor.

What’s the latest situation with this branch please? The PR appears to have been closed.

It’s included in v11.1.0

I have Tasmota 14.2 and the MS01 reports normally 40-50% humidity. For the second time when it is raining, the sensor being in the garden (grass) the humidity drops to 30%. The RAW measured value goes from 13.700 to 14.300 (UP) while the Humidity % goes down. Can you explain what is the RAW value?
