I have been running on an old build of homassistant for a while and recently updated to the latest. However its killed my lovelaceUI, clicking on the lovelace button on the (i) tab of hassio does nothing and nor does changing the default to lovelace, it simply shows the legacy front end.
I have not been keeping up to date with the updates, as I understand lovelace is now the default anyway?
Does anyone know what the simple way is to get lovelace back? Can I simply rename the lovelace config file for example or does it need a complete rewrite?
The auto-generated lovelace does look like the old frontend. What happens if you click on the 3 dots top right and select edit? You should get an option to take control.
Under Configure UI I get:
“Take control of your Lovelace UI”
By default Home Assistant will maintain your user interface, updating it when new entities or Lovelace components become available. If you take control we will no longer make changes automatically for you.
Are you sure you want to take control of your user interface?
Click Yes?
So looks like it is Lovelace, is it possible to import my old lovelace setup?
Try this in configuration.yaml
lovelace:
mode: yaml
take control and copy/past old lovelace file to the clipboard. Edit UI then 3 dots again and go to raw editor… paste your clipboard in there and you’re done.
