I am in the process of moving my HA away from an RPI to something new. Currently I have several z wave devices that work with no issues. My current RPI has a z-wave plug on board I think was called a RaZberry. Its worked for a few years. I will be using a usb plug in stick for my next system. Do I need to get a key or anything from the old system in relation to the z-wave network or do I use the restore backup option then change z wave devices there? Meaning does HA hold the network key/id and not the z wave device
Did you ever figure this out? I need to migrate to a new z-wave controller as well.
Its been a few weeks but in the end I just run the old Raspberry and deleted them off the existing system and then added them to the new one. I had to find manuals for the individual units to work out what I had to do. I have one under the house I am yet to do as I hate crawling under there.
I lost my HA at the same time so I just rebuilt the lot.
I know this didn’t help you but I am now running the mqtt2js on a rpi and it and HA running on a VM is much more stable
