Hi all, just 5 seconds of your time to point me in the right direction - have had a good look around, but can’t see if I can use something in a mains lighting circuit to detect when the lights are triggered, or if I need to replace my existing external PIR’s with ‘smart’ ones? If it makes any difference at-all, the circuit here is using a Steinel IS140-2 external PIR.
Not sure if I understand fully but I think you mean something like this.
There are actually a few ways to turn old standard outdoor mains pir sensors into “smart” ones but the shelly 1 method always appeared the be the simplest imo.
