Newbie, accessing normal Linux command line

I notice when I access my pi directly I see a Hass.io CLI.
How can I browse the normal Pi file structure? I cant see how to get out of this screen.
I want to be able to check/alter things like file ownership etc.

Commands like ls don’t work in this window.

SSH

enable the ssh addon

In that window you have to type in login and press enter
But this is only very limited debug access.

You install HassIO/HassOS and this is all the file structure available.

Ok thanks David, perhaps I would be better off installing Home Assistant.

The issue which prompted me to want to do this was I found the ‘File’ node in Nodered won’t write to the pi so I wondered if there was an ownership issue.

I can browse to the Directory’s with Filezilla but Nodered just seems unable to create or append to a file. Would you know if Nodered can only access certain directories? I tried using the Home Directory.

I don’t use NodeRED but you’re using the Hass.io addon right? If so there is likely a setting in the addon - it should have whatever permissions it needs to function…
