Newbie, Can't include Z-wave ZP3102

I’m a newbie to Home Assistant but I’ve managed to install it on an RPi 3B+ with an Aeotec Z-Stick. I’ve managed to include some Aeotek smart switches but I’m getting nowhere trying to include a ZP3102 PIR motion sensor. An internet search told me to try excluding it first, which I tried but still no joy. The instructions seem pretty simple as all you need to do is press the ‘program’ switch. Any advice, or should I just send it back?

sometimes you have to press it 9029904023942 times.

EDIT: Watch the zwave logs too. See if the network is reacting to the button being pressed.

EDIT2: Use the “Tail” button on the zwave log section to watch a rolling log. Tail 500 or so lines.

Thanks for that, it persuaded me to keep trying. I don’t know if it’s coincidence but pressing the button on the PIR and then pressing the ‘Add node’ button got it to include.
