Newbie question: Lovelace on HA Docker installation on Synology

Hi there!

Apologies for my very basic question.

I have installed HA in Docker on my Synology NAS. Have done initial configuration login into HA and see the lovelace UI where I can do some easy things.

I now want to try and use some good coding done by others to install other cards and things on my HA. However I see a lot of tutorials in which files need to be put in folders etc. but I don’t see these folders in my HA docker installation.

I hope the above is clear and someone out there can give me some guidance on what is and what is not possible in my set-up and how to start.

Thx in advance!
Fabio

I too use HA on my Synology and you should be able to see your Synology on your network and log in using Finder (on Mac) and see all available folders.

The files and folders you need will be in a folder called config and if you installed it correctly this folder should be separate from the HA Docker container so that you can easily update without starting again from scratch.

Hey Ash,

Did you install HA using Docker or in a different way? I installed using Docker and don’t see this folder you have.

I see all the files under the Docker folder, like this:

That looks like the Home-Assistant config folder alright.
What folder do you think is missing? The “WWW” folder, for example, is not created by default and you have to create it yourself if you want to use it.

ok, thx! Then I will just go ahead and create that WWW folder in this folder here.

I will play a bit and try to find my way to improve my HA skills!

Thx for your help!
