# Proposed Changes
This PR removes the RPi GPIO support from Node-RED.
Its… support was flaky at best and mileage would vary a lot.
Removing it improves:
- The size of the add-on (~50Mb less)
- No more warnings on non-RPi devices
- Improves the security rating of the add-on
