I wanted a floor plan that is more than a picture, so I made one. NextFloor adds a panel to Home Assistant where you draw your floors and rooms, and it shows the house in 3D. The model is live: when a lamp goes on, its room lights up in the same colour, blinds follow their position, windows tilt, doors swing, the TV shows what is playing, and outside it rains or snows if your weather entity says so.

That clip is my own house, recorded live in Home Assistant. The car on the parking spot is a real 3D model that I own and put on my own HA, with its charge level next to it.
What is in it so far: a plan editor inside HA (floors, rooms, walls, doors, windows, stairs, roof, a background picture to trace). Tap a lamp to switch it, swipe to dim, long press for a colour. About 180 furniture pieces, including common sizes like a Billy shelf or a Malm bed, and cars on a parking spot that show their charge level. Energy flow with the solar fields on the roof, a camera wall, the motion of the last 30 minutes as a trail, heatmaps for temperature, humidity and CO2. There is a dashboard card and a kiosk mode for wall tablets, and it follows your HA theme, light and dark.
It is free (MIT), has no cloud and no account, and does not talk to the internet. Everything stays in .storage.
Honest bits: it is new and has very few users, so expect rough edges. It needs HA 2025.1 or newer, and there is a low quality level for old tablets. I built it with AI help (Claude Code). The README says so, and all the code is open if you want to check it.

I would like to hear what breaks in your house (big or odd floor plans, many floors), and which devices you would want to see in the model that are not there yet.
Thanks for looking.
