NIBE Uplink API component (non S-series)

Was this question way to stupid or isn’t there an answer?

Its not to stupid or a no answer question, but maybe the wrong thred for it, your questions is more about automations then about the nibe component.
I’m guessing that you have switches for boosting the ventilation in nibe? (I dont have ventialtion in my system). And that works when activating it manually?

Yeah, I have ventilation boost available in my system. I asked here since I need to know what value to change in order to activate the boost? I’ve tried a bunch of different ways but nothing works.

Another question. Is it possible to control warm water boost or ventilation via Google Assistant?

I managed to figure it all out on my own regarding the auto/boost mode in regards to the thermostats.

Now I’m only stuck with the question if I can controll the boost modes via Google Home/Assistant?

Hi
This really isn’t a question that is regarding the Nibe integration. If you have set up the Google Assistant integration between your Home Assistant setup and Google it should work;
see here: https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/google_assistant/
and here: https://www.nabucasa.com/config/google_assistant/

When you have this running you can choose which entities to expose to Google Assistant in the integration settings and if the Nibe hot water boost or ventilation acts like a switch you should be able to choose a name and such and then also be able to speak to your Google Assistant to enable/disable. I am not sure if Google supports settings of a fan, like number of %, but I think it does.

Well, I have. The fan and floor heating show up in the Google Home app but I’ve not been able to interact with any of them. The fan only acts like an on/off switch, and that’s not supported since it needs to be able to go between boost and auto.

The heating system asks me to connect and sign up for a Nest account. Have any idea why?

The water heater is nowhere to be found.

Would it be possible to create an action, script or scene that the assistant would be able to interact with? To start the ventilation boost and the water heater boost?

Hmm I don’t use Google Assistant in that way, I use the Nabu Casa cloud integration but I don’t have a fan to test with (my Nibe is ground water pump only). It should be supported if the fan component is set up like any other fan which it should be.

I think the scene idea should also work. I have one of those “good night”-scenes set up and exposed to Google Assistant with a bunch of states for switches and lights and that works fine.

Regarding the Nest account stuff I unfortunately have no idea about that :/.

I’m also using the Nabu Casa integration, so I’ll try using a scene instead I think. Is it just to set it up and expose it via the Nabu Casa integration?

I tried adding two of my Xiaomi Aqara thermostats to the Nibe integration but I must have done something wrong since they don’t report any data. Any ideas?

Here’s the configuration.yaml

nibe:
  systems:
    - system: MY ID GOES HERE
      units:
        - unit: 0
          categories: True
          statuses: True
      climates: True
      water_heaters: True
      thermostats:
        1:
          name: 'Badrum nere'
          current_temperature: sensor.temperature_2
          systems: 1
        2:
          name: 'Badrum uppe'
          current_temperature: sensor.temperature_15
          systems: 1

Switch the mode of the thermostat to auto or heat cool. When in auto, we report the current temperature to move, when in heat cool we also report the setpoint.

How and where do I do that?

On the climate entities that was added for these thermostats.

Could you give me a code example? Sorry, but I’m not that skilled in all this… yet.

There is no code. Go to your normal lovelace gui. Add the entities. Look at the info screen for it and select the mode.

Just add a thermostat card, choose one of your climat.xxxx and save. Set it to auto.

Hi, I’m new to HA and so on and found now this active thread for @elupus Nibe integration.

Is there a way to get this up by using just plain docker container for HA?

Hi
Just follow the install instructions at https://github.com/elupus/hass_nibe.

I also run Home Assistant as a docker container and the easiest way to get updates to this Nibe integration is to go the HACS route I believe.

If you don’t have HACS installed, follow the instructions here: https://hacs.xyz/docs/installation/manual

Hi

I followed the instructions and managed to get it up and installed by creating the custom_comp… folder and just copy then like stated in the documentation.

But just today the integration crashed when I upgraded the HA docker image and container. I tried now to delete the custom_comp… folder after deleting the integration in the lovelace UI. But the log “error setting up nibe integration: modul not found” persists restarts.

How can I wipe it of my config and deploy it again?

delete eveything in your configuration.yaml that is connected to Nibe, Install HACs, add the repo for nibe in HACs, install nibe, add the configuration.yaml stuff again, reboot and redo the integration. That is what i would recommend. Let HACs handle the folders for all custom components.
HACs:https://hacs.xyz/docs/installation/manual
add this to HACs as an integration repo: https://github.com/elupus/hass_nibe

Hi there,

does anybody know how I can integrate my NIBE VVM S320 and F-2120 heatpump?
It uses the new API service (https://dev.myuplink.com).

Thanks in advance

Hi,
Can you elaborate more on new API service? There was no announcement that i saw, nor the domain has a valid whois set – https://who.is/whois/dev.myuplink.com. Looks like a bad attempt to harvest peoples logons.
@Admins, please check and eventually delete above phishing attempt.
