I have also successfully integrated the NICE drive using the Home Kit. Is it possible to add a STOP button?

If you still search a way to fully control your gate with IT4WIFI module, and do not want to use HK (it is missing some command) I created an addon to control the gate with MQTT. It should have every command available in the Nice app.

Coming back to this thread to add that it is indeed possible to do a proper Homekit pairing for IT4Wifi using the Android app, only. You do not need an Apple device.

Here’s how:

  1. You will need an Android device and the Android MyNice App.
  2. Factory reset your IT4WIFI. Per instructions from the manual: Unplug it, then keep the button pressed while you reconnect the T4 Bus cable, wait until the red LED stops flashing, release the button.
  3. Wait a few seconds until the IT4WIFI shows one constant green LED and one blinking green LED: Ready for setup.
  4. Start configuring IT4WIFI with the MyNice App. It will ask you for the 6 last hex digits of the MAC address, printed on the device’s label. Enter these six digits in the App.
  5. It will then ask you for the 8 digit Home Kit Code, also printed on the label. Now here’s the trick: DO NOT ENTER THE CORRECT CODE FROM THE LABEL in the App. Instead, enter a random, INVALID Home Kit Code and proceed.
  6. Next, the App will ask you for your WiFi’s password. Enter it in the App.
  7. The App will now connect to the IT4WIFI and configure it to use your network.
  8. After that, the App will try to connect the IT4WIFI to the vendor’s cloud service and that will FAIL BECAUSE OF THE INVALID HOME KIT CODE. You can now force-quit the App on your Android device.
  9. The IT4WIFI now shows two constant green LEDs: Connected to the WiFi.
  10. Now go to Home Assistant → Configuration → Integrations.
  11. Add a new Home Kit Controller integration. The integration should detect the IT4WIFI.
  12. When adding the integration, Home Assistant will request the Home Kit Code. NOW YOU CAN ENTER THE CORRECT HOME KIT CODE FROM THE DEVICE LABEL.
  13. The IT4WIFI now shows three constant green LEDs: Configuration finished and paired, normal operating state.
  14. Tada! Finished.

Many thanks for sharing it HZ! The post is already 6 years old. By that time it was not possible to do the pairing with a non-iOS device, but I am glad this is not the case now! The information is, indeed, really useful.
