Niko external video unit

Hi,

I have recently had this installed in my home, with complementary external video unit
https://www.niko.eu/en/article/510-21400

I know there is an rtsp stream available (I’ve scanned for it, and when vlc tries to open it, it prompts me for credentials). I have had no luck finding those credentials, so this is a bit of a hail mary to see if anyone here knows the credentials, or knows where to find them?

I’ve contacted Niko Support with the same question in May 2021.
Answer:
‘This is not officially supported by Niko. We cannot give you more information.’

I found the RTSP location:
rtsp://:@/rtsp/video.av
Default password (admin/123qwe) is not working.

So same here: stuck at the credentials part.

Can you try with username: “user” and empty password?

Did anyone succeed to access the video stream from a Niko Digital Acces Control Unit (510-21400)?

No luck here so far. I wonder if the app uses the RTSP stream and if we could get the credentials by logging network traffic in our home network. However, I don’t have the capacity to do that right now.

It should be possible with wireshark. RTSP - Wireshark Wiki
But I think that the credentials will be encrypted.
