I managed to start Hass.io on Virtualbox @ Windows host.
Much better expirience, i would suggest everyone who is starting to go this route.
Much easier to experiment, faster response/restart, easier to manage.
Rpi could be great when you set everything up…

Except the use of windows for something you want to be reliable.

What do I try next?
So I had this problem and finally figured out that you can access files in the .vdi disk file. I used 7-Zip to do this, extracted my last .tar backup, rebuilt Home Assistant and was back right where I left off in like 30 mins. Once you have this EFI booting issue it is extremely difficult to fix it. Much better to just get your last backup and start over.
