I have done a new installation of Hassio in a Docker on a Ubuntu machine.
I did a restore of a snapshot I have of my Raspberry Pi with Hassio.
After the restore I can’t connect to the Hassio anymore.
The Raspberry Pi don’t have the same ip-address as the new Ubuntu machine.
Is this a problem?
I have even try locally on the Ubuntu machine to connect to Hassio but it want work.
What could be the problem?
I can see from the Portainer that the Home assistant container is running but I can not access it either from frontend or commando line.
I have tried to restart the Hassio and the host but no difference, can still not access the Hassio.
What shall I do?
Hassio has nothing to do with samba. Regardless how you set it up, it will be separate from hassio. If you set it up as an add on, it’s in it’s own container and will still be running. If you set it up in ubuntu, it will still be running because it’s outside the docker container.
Regardless of all of that, if you can get onto your Ubuntu machine that has the container, you can get to the files. The files are not stored in the containers, they are stored locally on the Ubuntu machine.
