I can not connect HA through VPN when i am in mobile network from my iPhone.
I have HA OS on Raspberry Pi 2 connected with LAN to my Fritzbox router.
VPN works, i can connect to all of my devices (Printer, pc’s,…) connected with the router except HA. When i m in my local network at home, everything works fine, also HA.
I tested my raspi in a different network, where i installed it and set it up. It works perfectly fine.
HA is reachable through VPN, in the app and browser.
The two networks are nearly identical. In one network is a bit older router but from the same brand. There are the same ip adresses, the same VPN with also the same ip adress range. And in one network everything works and in the other one not. That makes no sense.
I opened all ports in the router, changed the ip adress from the raspi, deinstalled AdGuard in HA, changed the LAN ports, used a more stronger power adapter for the raspi, set up auth.-providers type: homeassistant in the configuration.yaml, tried to connect from my iPhone through VPN from two different mobile network providers, nothing worked. I can‘t even get a ping to my raspi while in VPN.
It was just an ip adress conflict.
In my home network is a device with the same ip adress as my iPhone through VPN.
The device appeard only sporadically in the network list of my router. The most of the time it was not visible.
When i connected my phone through VPN, my router gave my phone the same ip adress as the device already connected to my home network. I extended the DHCP ip range of the router, so it gave my phone another ip adress outside the DHCP range.
