I am having problems with the homeassistant mobile app. I can log in but then I get an error popping up about no connection. I have private DNS enabled, but I can log in in the browser without any problem. I have restarted my phone several times with no success. Does anyone also have this problem?
App version: 2023.10.2-full
what does the actual error message say? have you looked at companion app logs for errors from teh pop-up?
I get the error “unable to connect to home assistant” displayed. How can I check the logs?
since you were able to login there should be a settings button in that pop-up, scroll down to troubleshooting in that menu and you’ll see the logs section.

Are you by chance blocking the HA API’s? The app makes use of all connection methods which doesn’t happen in the browser. If nothing is being blocked try to log out and log back in to possibly fix the auth issue.
How do I check to see if I have anything blocked? I am on mobile data.
I cant answer that for you, that depends on your own network setup. Could be an nginx configuration issue or something else.
Ok, I checked and everything is already working properly. I had web sockets support disabled in nginx proxy manager. Thank you for your help.
