No Echo devices(Alexa) showing when using alexa_media component

I´ve been trying to get the custom component alexa_media_player to work with hassio.
When I began trying to make it work i was on 0.88 and now 0.94.1
I have all the files in the correct folder:

And I can see the alexa_media.update_last_called service

Also the config lines (Ignore the red warning)

But I can´t my echo device in entities or anything else in the service list.

I´m totally lost what to troubleshoot next?

Hi,

I don’t run Hassio but have a few suggestions.

1 - Does the log say anything about not finding the alexa media component?
2 - I don’t have any quotation marks around my url. ie url: amazon.com and NOT url: ‘amazon.com’ - not sure if it makes a difference.
3 - Did you get to fill in the captcha window? If not then do you have an alexa media pickle file in your config directory? You could try delete it and restart, HASS should run the captcha again. In lovelace you need to click the bell icon in the top right corner to get to the captcha.

Mine only starts to populate once the captcha is filled in.

I changed my password on amazon and removed som special characters, then removed the pickled file and rebooted, then reentered the captcha challenge and suddenly it worked! :slight_smile:
