No expose to home assistant option in node

I´m just learning to use Node-RED and saw tutorial video where there was “expose to home assistant” option, which I don´t have. If I check information of the node it says exposeToHomeAssistant undefined. How can I get this option available?

Do you have the companion app from hacs installed?

Should be the very last option - click on the + and you can then determine how its exposed in HA:

Actually I just have Node-RED installed from the HA add-ons, so I have to also install companion app from the HACS?

Yes, it is what allows the node red addon to create entities in home assistant.

It is there in the docs, I do agree that it should be more prominent. It can appear to be not part of the exposed node section but if you look in the left column it’s under the custom integration header.
