No History Or Logbook

So history and logbook functions stopped working. They just stalled on an actively running configuration. Just stopped at random. I restarted, no luck. I shutdown, deleted the DB, restarted, no luck.

I made no changes to anything. On 96.5.

Any ideas?

Any relevant errors in the log?

No. The whole interface is frozen in yesterday. The last entries were at 4;06 PM yesterday. The last history and logbook entries were then, and the last general log entries (just usual messages) happened then as well. The developer tab doesn’t show log entries beyond that point.

The size of the DB is growing, but the interface doesn’t reflect that with information.

Can you run a config check from the command line?

Hello I have the same problem but I think it’s due to a restore of the PI with my last Snapshoot. No more history graphic and in the pannel history no information. I find that power plug come back in the history after power on or off. But I have also upgrade in the same time to 96.5.
Now after reading this I don’t know if it’s due to the restore or the upgrade

I can run the config check right from the interface. There are no errors, and like I said I didn’t change anything.

I noticed in a couple days since I upgraded, the history would have periods of hanging without updating. Long periods of an hour or more where no graphs would update, and then it would recover. But now, nothing.

What platform are you running HA in.

I generally find stopping HA, deleting the home-Assistant.log file, the data base file and restarting HA resolves that issue.

Already tried:

Database and Log file?? Were both deleted.

No just the DB. I’m not in front of it right now. Is the log file in the same folder?

The log file is recreated every time you restart. So that’s unlikely to be your issue.

I’m running it in a FreeBSD jail on FreeNAS. Interestingly, I restarted the entire FreeNAS server after deleting the DB again and some components are returning to life.

It should be noted that the three components not working at all are the Dark Sky weather component, SimpliSafe, and my ecobee. Since all of those things get a specific mention in the release notes, it seems that once again we took what was working and broke it.

The notes state that the entire climate area was restructured. And it’s my entire climate area that has stalled the whole thing.

I still recommend deleting the DB and the log file. It’s entirely up to you though

I’m running a venv and both files are located in /home/homeassistant/.homeassistant

Always worth mentioning what platform you are running in as there’s so many options available

So I updated to 97 and it’s all working again… No idea.
