I’m just starting with HA and don’t know a heap about it, so very much a beginner. Searched the forum for an answer but couldn’t find the exact issue I am having.
My setup is HAOS flashed onto an Intel Nuc. Everything local is working great, however I suspect that I have no internet access on the Nuc. The Nuc has an IP and I can connect to it through local network. But the Add-on Store doesn’t load anything, I’ve checked the forum suggestions for a fix, but nothing changes. Also, when trying to active HA Cloud I get an ‘unable to reach cloud’ error. These two issues together make me think the Nuc in not getting access to the internet through my network somehow. Am I missing something in the setup?
Go to Settings → System → Network. Click on your adaptor then the IPv4 settings and change the DNS server to 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1
Perfect. I was hoping it was an easy fix. DNS change and a hard restart fixed the issue. Much appreciated.
