I have a ring security camera. I installed the app on home assistant. logged in here and I see he sees my ring. only I don’t get a live image from my camera. on my dashboard and I can’t find a live image anywhere, anyone have any idea how I can solve this? my thanks are great.
The home assistant ring integration does not support or offer live viewing.
There is an addon that does in a limited way but not advisable to stream full time, ring cameras are not designed for that type of use in general, have a read as it may be of interest
Be aware that these devices are mainly constructed to be used with a cloud service and most of the times that’s when you bump on limitations.
thank you for helping. I have received a camera image on my dashboard and can set it to a maximum of 10 seconds that it is refreshed. I think if I want continuous live image I have to buy another camera and not a ring
