No longer able to connect my HeatIt Thermostat

I installed a HEATIT Z-WAVE THERMOSTAT device today. It connected to my z-wave network perfectly and was working fine. After moving some other devices I needed to reset the z-wave network controller. I did this, and am now unable to connect the thermostat to my z-wave network. Setting the network in “Add node” and putting the thermostat in inclusion mode just results in ERR. Ive tried several times.

Ive tried resetting the thermostat (left and middle buttons for 20 seconds) but that doesnt help either. Does anyone know if I need to exclude the device from the old network somehow?

Just to say I fixed this by doing a z-wave “remove device” and then going thru the pairing process on the thermostat. It took 3 attempts but eventually worked. I was then able to re-pair it.
