No Media option in sidebar

I am on 2022.3.5 (but this has been true for at least all the 2022.x releases) and I don’t see the “Media” menu item in the sidebar. I remember it seeing it in some past releases, but no more.

Any ideas how to figure out why, or how to fix this?

I am using home assistant core as a docker container on unraid. Multiple media dlna media sources are configured, as well as Sonos players, and Apple TV as well. So I don’t think it’s for lack of devices that the media menu items is not showing.

Do you have default_config: on configuration.yaml?

I did not, but I do now! And sure enough, it’s there now.

Still confused on how I had the Media option in a prior release eventhough my configuration.yaml hasn’t changed in probably a year, but no worries. All good now!

Sometimes people exclude default_config for various reasons. You may have done that.
