No name in aeotec multi sensor

Hello

I used to have this in my bathroom until a couple of weeks ago, so have found another use for it, but when I add it back into HA it comes up without a name… i.e. binary_sensor.sensor_2 or sensor.temperature_2

Any ideas please? it is mains powered and has been fully factory reset and is set as a binary sensor. Plus given it a new name and it doesn’t appear in the sensors name as I would expect binary_sensor.kitchen.sensor

binary_sensor.sensor_2	off
node_id: 15
value_index: 0
value_instance: 1
value_id: 72057594294566912
old_entity_id: binary_sensor.aeotec_zw100_multisensor_6_sensor_15_0
new_entity_id: binary_sensor.aeotec_zw100_multisensor_6_sensor
friendly_name: Aeotec ZW100 MultiSensor 6 Sensor

Cheers
Mark

So removed, reset, moved it and renamed to Outdoors… same, I have never seen this before.

binary_sensor.sensor_2	on
node_id: 15
value_index: 0
value_instance: 1
value_id: 72057594294566912
old_entity_id: binary_sensor.outside_sensor_15_0
new_entity_id: binary_sensor.outside_sensor
friendly_name: Outside Sensor

It says the new name is binary_sensor.outside_sensor, but HA only allows me to use binary_sensor.sensor_2 otherwise I get these errors

frontend_latest/core-aa5473dbea8ac5b75ae0e8239f8e0e38.js:1:6882 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'attributes' of undefined

Been several threads on this (I too was affected similarly) - Try stopping HA, renaming entity_registry.yaml and restart HA. It should pick up the new name you gave it.

thank you so much… I did search and I must be blind!

It’s an undocumented breaking change, I’d not feel bad about missing it

thanks, well it wasted an hour of my life I will never get back today… Still less than the 90 minutes I will waste watching Boro play tonight :sob::sob::sob:
