I have searched the forum & the docs but cannot find a reason why this service is not available.
Any tips on how to tackle this?

Okay, that’s clear!
I have disabled the Play store completely and grabbed the apk from GH.
So without the Play store not possible…
notifications require google play services since we use firebase, if you have google play services then you want to load the full version.
I just tried again with the full version from GH and got further, could enter the HA address, device name but then got the firebase error.
Is there a way around and/or is it necessary to have the Play store services running all the time to get this working?
EDIT: after skipping the error I could start the app.
