I’m trying to set up some Reolink CCTV E1 Outdoor and Reolink Doorbell camera around my house, and I’ve found something a little unusual and I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong, or if it’s a bug.
All of the camera support RTSP and RTMP, I’ve had them running through other software using it so know that they’re set up correctly.
If I go to the Reolink integration and select either RTSP or RTMP I not only don’t get video but I also get no response from any sensor or entity. Home Assistant can see that they all exist but the motion sensors never trigger, there is no history recorded, and I can’t toggle any of the options. It’s like the camera were set up but have dropped off of the network. Which I initially thought was what had happened.
If I set the integration to FLV, everything runs like a dream. The sensors are active and I can change the settings again.
Curiously, this only happens with the E1 Outdoors, the doorbell doesn’t seem to care how it connects.
Has anyone ever encountered this before, or am I just doing something wrong with the setup?
Things seem to be running OK with FLV, but I’d like to know why I’m having this problem.
