No sensor data from Weidmann Elektronik IR USB reader

Hi,
I have a technical or a knowhow problem with my Weidmann Elektronik IR Read/Write USB for my Smart Meter.
I installed it via: EDL21 - Home Assistant
an added this to the configuration.yaml:

sensor:
  - platform: edl21
    serial_port: /dev/serial/by-id/usb-FTDI_FT230X_Basic_UART_D307Z7Z3-if00-port0
    name: Stromzaehlere

The HA log says:

Detecting HardwareAction.ADD serial hardware /dev/ttyUSB0 - /dev/serial/by-id/usb-FTDI_FT230X_Basic_UART_D307Z7Z3-if00-port0

But I cant see any new sensor in my HA instance. I restarted, changed config etc. but cant find a “Stromzaehler” sensor.
Is it the device getting no data or do I need to something more to get the sensor started?

Hi, can you tell me how you have solved your problem.
The edl21 integration isn’t working.
