No update in HA after device name change in Android app

If I change the default name of the Android app to add the leading "John" shown here:

.. it does not appear that change is communicated back up to the HA server. The device listing in the "Mobile App" section (http://fe80::1:8123/config/integrations/integration/mobile_app) show no change:

Am I missing a communication configuration setting or is this expected behavior?

Expected. You would have to remove the integration and re-add it for the change to show up.
