From time to time, I need to look at the device page only to find out that it cannot help me because sensor names are cropped. The only guaranteed thing is device name shown multiple times.
All that despite of lot of free screen states around.
It’s worse if sensor names are often prefixed by device name (default behavior of mqtt Discovery) or other prefix (See screenshot)
Are there any plans to redesign this page to display complete sensor names or at least their meaningful part?
It could be somehow useful to remove those prefixes automatically (I recall there are some places in HA where this approach is applied). But in this case, I would like to have an option to copy the full name into a clipboard.
If the device name matches the start of the entity name, it is removed on this page. However that doesn’t look like your case here, where you have “Bosch Susicka” as the entity name, and “Susicka” as the device name.

I knew I saw it somewhere…
I though renaming a device will help but… something doesn’t work as expected.
a) During renaming, the popup informs that 29 entities WILL NOT be renamed. But those are (see video below)
b) Entities have been renamed from Bosch Sušička to Bosch Bosch Sušička - I wasn’t expecting a change to entity names
c) the last but most strange: entities are shown now in an inconsistent way. You can see on the screenshot, some have double Bosch while others haven’t
I would ask:
what part of the system is responsible for renaming entities in response of Device name change
What part of the system is responsible for shortening names (obviously it doesn’t work correctly, see #c )
