I can get to node-red via the browser, but when I try to add my home assistant server to node-red I get the following error: “cannot get homeassistant/entities”. I cannot figure this out. This is only local so no SSL, proxy etc. I don’t even have an api password setup at the moment…
Did i by chance install this in the wrong place? I’ve been scowering the internet, but cannot find a solution. Any help would be appreciated.
If you are running one of the newer version of Home Assistant, you have to create an Long-Lived Access Tokens for Node-Red. This tripped me up as well. If you click on your profile icon at the top left corner it will bring you to your profile and at the bottom you will see Long-Lived Access Tokens. You must create one and copy it to Node-Red where you setup your Home Assistant server. Now, if your not running a newer version of Home Assistant, then you need to supply some more info, like how did you install Node-Red, is it in a Docker, and what version of Home Assistant you are running.
