Node-Red not starting after install

I’m new. Using dedicated NUC installation on a Dell Wyse, I installed Node-Red:

Configuration > Add-ons > ADD-ON STORE > Node-Red > Install

A minute later I get the Start link. I click Start and see “Add-on CPU Usage 25 %” then click OPEN WEB UI, and I get: “Add-on is not running. Please start it first”

Nothing in Logs. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling Node-Red. What do I do next?

There really should be something, as soon as you start nodered on the addon page at the top click the log tab. Click refresh every 20 sec until you see an output. keep clicking refresh until it stops about 1-2min

Well, it fixed itself today. There was a HA update that I think did the trick. After the update, I was able to view the Configuration and set SSL to false (I’m not using it), and now it works.

I had the same issue and log files showed SSL related errors. SSL is enabled by default.
Disable SSL for minimal instalation with certificates.
