Node-red tab reloading & losing progress

Just installed the Node Red add-on and I’m having an issue. When the tab that Node Red is being displayed in is inactive for a bit, either because I’m looking at a different tab or my laptop went sleepies, when I go back to it, it completely reloads and loses any changes I was making. Seems that this is a known issue according to this thread and that the workaround is to access http://<homeassistant-ip>:1880 directly instead of through the HA UI however that would be great if I was actually working locally. I’m working remotely through Nabu Casa so this isn’t exactly possible.

Are there any workarounds for this?

never experienced that.
I often open node red in multiple tabs to compare or copy paste some fragments. I also leaving those tabs not used for hours (not sure about putting notebook asleep). The only thing hapoens is NR popup that code changed with question to reload or stay untouched.

That’s not the only work around in the thread. Just read two more posts.

The part that mentions having it in it’s own window? Yeah I tried that too. Same problem.
