Node Red uninstall does not clean up Node Red configuration files thereby making it impossible to re-install correctly

In attempting to use Node Red “node-red-contrib-mail-parse” it somehow disappeared from my pallette. I uninstalled Node Red rebooted Home Assistant and tried re-installing the node-red-contrib-mail-parse, unable to install because Node Red said it was in use. I removed the component from the flow but still could not uninstall the node-red-contrib-mail-parse. image

Bottom line is I cannot remove the node. Additionally, when I uninstalled Node Red, the Node Red configuration files were left behind instead of deleted. If the config files are deleted when Node Red is removed, I surmise that I could do a fresh install of Node Red, but that is not the case…any suggestions of what I can do on my end, short of re-installing Homeassistant?

Jumping to conclusions here. It says “Type in use: mail-parse”.

Try clicking on here

And you may find something relating to mail-parse or node-red-contrib-mail-parse

If so, you can click on it, and click “Delete” in the top left of the properties pane.

Thank you, nothing here helps. I removed Node Red from HA, shut down HA, removed the node red directory from the config directory and restarted HA and reinstalled Node Red. Each time I installed “node-red-contrib-mail-parse” in my Node Red it disappeared from my configuration after a short while and kept causing the problem. So I am not reinstalling this node…, i.e., “node-red-contrib-mail-parse”.

I appreciate your suggestion.
