Hello smart guys,

I love using HA with Node Red, but when it comes to ringtones on my Xiaomi Gateway, I am lost.

Which Node Red function shoud I use to play a ringtone according to https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/xiaomi_aqara/#action-xiaomi_aqaraplay_ringtone ?

xiaomi_aqara.play_ringtone ? Does that not work?

Could you go to the action section of devtools in home assistant and call that action, does it work there? If it does not work in HA it will not work in NR.

But xiaomi_aqara.play_ringtone doesn’t work in an action node? What is the error that you receive?

Action node? do you mean Fire Event or something else?

Depending on your ha node’s version, the older version is call service, the newer set of nodes call service has been renamed to action.

thanks, mine is still Call Service.
but there is no entity such as xiaomi_aqara.play_ringtone. does I need to defien it in JSON somehow?

Look in domain for xiaomi_aquara then in service for play_ringtone
