Not sure what happened, but in the z-wave configuraiton, only 3 of my nodes are listed, yet they work on the main lovelave page (open/close door sensor)
Prior to installing the z-wave graph I noticed this. Installed the z-wave graph anyways (having just tested an open/close sensor) and the graph shows only a few sesnsors despite there being 20 of them
I’m puzzled. It seems all of my nodes have just disappeared sicne yesterday. However, I can walk around my house, open 6-7 doors and have the lovelace page show the Close<>Open just they are not in the drop down on the z-wave page nor in the graph. Oddly, the mains powered Smart Switch 6 randomly shows “failed” but then works the next minute.
Have tried to press the “heal network” and went around to each door/window and open and closed them. Still they don’t show up in my z-wave list. HOwever, in my lovelace page, they work with open and closed. They also don’t show up in my graph.
Have tried network heals but still the same. The sensors are still working. but don’t show up in the graph or z-wave configuration… They list in the entitites page though…
Well shit… I clearly am asking for the wrong kind of help… Pretty hard to stay engaged with the item but it’s broken and I cannot find a solution despite hours of digging…
I feel your frustration.
I’m working with an awesome guy who’s creating a Hubitat custom component integration.
It’s going well but we’re in the trial and error phase.
It’s almost to the point where I’d consider it my perfect Z-Wave/Zigbee solution for Home Assistant integration.
As an update the Hubitat integration is working well now.
My problem was the integration uses the baseURL, which points to DuckDNS.
I disabled the port forwarding since I use Nabu Casa now, but re-enabling that fixed it.
This revealed that the default way this is setup might depend on things outside your house, which isn’t ideal, to me at least.
So now the developer is looking into letting us override that configuration to manually point to things locally, therefore keeping it all within your network.
My Z-Wave has been acting perculiar as well. Went in and did a “Heal Network” and it renamed all my sensors… Had to roll back to last week’s backup and waiting for it to come back to life…
There is definately something happening with Z-Wave (This after being stable for years)
in /config/zwave_device_config.yaml I had hidden some of teh sensors that I don’t use (alarm indicator) for certain sensors. It seems that made them all hidden for some reason, yet Lovelace and the history would still show them alive…
