Noob, and a little disappointed

A few months ago, I would try HA, and I’ve installed HA in a docker on a Synology NAS, and configured some integrations:

  • ASUSWRT
  • Phillips Hue
  • Tuya
  • Synology
  • HACS
  • Mobile App
  • Default Méteo (met.no)
  • Netatmo
  • Ecovacs/Deebot

I had log with some warnings, some errors and some other stuff but, as all this only was a try, i’ve don’t bother about that, … little things i wanted to run, seems to ran fine. (need only 3 automations)

After all that, i want to relay on HA, would like to install Mobile App on my sons mobiles, to run some more complex automations, and to centralize all my current stuff, and future one.

And now, i want clear my log, and i’m going crazy (try to uninstall integrations one by one, some of them, etz…) but no luck, i’ve ever had some warnings, at least.

Ok, as it where only a try, and as i only use 3 automations, i’ve decided to restart from scratch, … so i uninstall mobile app (now it is uninstalled from my mobile), … stoped HA docker, and even deleted it, downloaded last image, and configured it from scratch, … my surprise is that now, with NO integrations but default meteo one, i still get some warnings in my log:

This one, in only 1 day running:
"Logger: homeassistant.components.webhook
Source: components/webhook/init.py:84
Integration: Webhook (documentation, issues)
First occurred: 16 de marzo de 2021 18:16:59 (390 occurrences)
Last logged: 9:41:13

Received message for unregistered webhook 36b6f8df16e721ecd0d13810d77062d550d46dd5f9e233083af79929de172d7e from 172.17.0.1"

I’ve no integrations configured (only default Met.No), i’ve configured 4 Person, and a couple of zones, before checking the log.

I’ve stoped installing any other thing till anyone could point me to a solution of this. I think its not normal to have any warning, in a fresh install with no integrations at all.

Thanks a lot in advance.

PD: I’m not very used to docker, nor linux, nor network terms, … i’m a plain user, with no soft skills.

That message is normal, you get it on startup. I’ve no idea why though :man_shrugging:

Warnings are in many cases no big deal, I have THOUSANDS of them in my log, and everything is running fine. Errors on the other hand can be a problem, but not always, sometimes the endpoint times out or does not respond fast enough, and an error is raised, but it works fine the next time.

172.17.0.1 is a docker ip for the network bridge, so it was probably docker itself calling a webhook that HA was not expecting, and thus raising a warning

Thanks,
But not only on startup, … as you can see it appears 390 in less than one day, … so in a few weeks, the log could be unreadable.

Thanks a lot, too
I know, for my previous try, that all could work fine, but not sure that it is “normal”, … is it not goint to overcharge the router? … if it appears 390 in a day, … 3900 in 10 days, … 11700 in a month, … not sure that this should happen.

I’m pleased to know that it refers to docker network bridge, but isn’t there any way to avoid this?

That’s pretty optimistic.

I never go more than a couple of days without needing to restart the server from my constant tinkering.

Yeah, it’s possible, … but i know it’s going to run withouy intervention, at least during hollydays, so, could be good to minimize warnings on the log.

And my hope is to set it fine, and don’t touch it a lot, … i’m not very tinkerer, … till now

In just over 3 days, a single offline device has caused almost 37000 entries to appear in my log… that is a log entry for a warning every 7.5s, nonstop.

Luckily, the system log displays them in a combined format so it only uses 1 entry in the UI:

Update of light.bulb_alert_basement is taking over 10 seconds
5:44:49 AM – helpers/entity.py (WARNING) - message first occurred at March 14, 2021, 1:05:32 AM and shows up 36319 times

Is the switch of basement light powered ON?
or accessible from Hue / Tuya

DEV environment… just saying  lol

Ok, … so i should not be worried for this warning i’ve had, and go ahead with my integrations and setup?

Thanks
