Super newbie here, but I have gotten more done than I thought…that said, I’ve watched videos about integrating the Nortek USB into HA, however, I am getting different radio selections to choose from when I attempt to do an Integration, namely these:
EZSP = Silicon Labs EmberZNet protocol: Elelabs, HUSBZB-1, Telegesis
ZNP = Texas Instruments Z-Stack ZNP protocol: CC253x, CC26x2, CC13x2
deCONZ = Dresden elektronik deCONZ protocol: ConBee I/II, RaspBee I/II
ZiGate = ZiGate Zigbee radios: PiZiGate, ZiGate USB-TTL, ZiGate WiFi
XBee = Digi XBee Zigbee radios: Digi XBee Series 2, 2C, 3
This is as opposed to the “ZHA Smart Home Controller Com port” I’ve seen in videos where it fits like the perfect missing puzzle piece! I’m sure there’s something wrong w/ my setup, but I even ordered a fresh Nortek USB that I haven’t touched yet just in case.
Forgot to mention that I did install drivers for this first hub, which apparently was/may not have been necessary.
Just looking for a little direction/guidance to move past this if possible.
Thanks in advance!
@Tinkerer I selected that, the first option. It then asks for a Serial Path, none of the COM ports work, and the device itself doesn’t register in the C: pathway anywhere. It does show both the Zigbee and Zwave radio in Device Manager, but that’s it. Otherwise, it’s like it isn’t even plugged in.
@francisp
I did install on my PC, but I am using a VM. I went with the Oracle (first option on HA installation pg) since it was suggested to be the easiest.
What would you recommend as a better option? I too purchased a Nortek to get Zigbee and Z-wave and having problems as well. It just spins and spins when adding the controller in HA.
