Not getting notifications in HA companion app on xiaomi 14

I have recently changed my mobile phone from xiaomi MI 10, android version 13
to xiaomi 14 android version 14

Both have xiaomi hyper os interface

The new xiaomi device was added successfully to HA
I can see all phone properties and sensors in HA
But sending notification messages from any automation to this device does not show in the phone
The older phone it worked perfectly, and also to other Android based devices like my Lenovo tablet

In xiaomi 14 phone I have given notifications permission to the companion app as can be seen in the attached picture

The HA log says it’s sending the notification without errors

Any idea what can be wrong or how to debug it?

It might be an android 14, or, more specifically, hyper OS issue.

I’m seeing extremely delayed notifications on a phone running the same versions on stuff unrelated to HA, like my Roborock vacuum with no HA integrations sending notifications hours after an event has been performed.

This delay didn’t used to happen before the update, so my assumption is that it’s some kind of hyper OS “hidden” feature.

After reinstall of the app the problem was solved…
