Not home when I actually am home?

Hi I’m having a bit of bother with most devices using nmap tracker.

Most of my devices will show randomly as “not home” which is then triggering automations that I don’t actually want to run obviously because I am home and its becoming quite annoying… Is there anyone can point me in the right direction here?

This is my current configuration:

device_tracker:

  • platform: nmap_tracker
    hosts: 192.168.1.1/24
    home_interval: 1
    exclude:
    • 192.168.1.93

Are the devices that are switching to not_home phones or other devices?

Try increasing your home interval to see if that helps, it will however take longer for HA to identify that a device is not_home when it is actually gone/off.

Yeah it seems to be mostly with phones, my smart TV does it too, but it’s always been even if I ping it so I’m not concerned too much about that.

I’ll increase the interval and see how it goes! Thanks

For the phones you may want to try something like the below link, basically use as many of the trackers as you can and have them all work together.
