Is there a way to notify a user as soon as they close the app?
My idea is to do something similar to what WhatsApp did when there was a bug in notifications on iOS 11 (see screenshot below).
We have a very stubborn user at home who always closes all iPhone apps because he believes it helps to save system resources. I’ve explained dozens of times that it doesn’t make a difference any longer, but he keeps doing it all the time.
I can only see a siri shortcut/automation for when an app opens, not when an app closes.
Silly question though: what makes you think that the stubborn user will open the app when he gets the message if talking to him dozens of time hasn’t changed his behaviour yet? 
Different train of though: what about tracking that user’s app in HA and send a notification if something hasn’t been updated in xx min (meaning the app is closed)?
Admittedly I’ve not tested sending a notification when the app is closed to see if the notification still comes. Maybe an email instead?
I thought about that too. 
I could be very annoying and send one notification message every x minutes.
