Notify My Android Error: IP exceeded the maximum number of API calls per hour allowed

I am using notify my android with home assistant for notifications. I have paid for two full versions of the nma app for both myself and my partner and have generated separate API keys for each of us on each of our paid accounts. Occasionally I can get home assistant to work for both of us (sending a notification at the same time), however many many times there is an error in the log file which just says:

“Wrong API key supplied: Your IP exceeded the maximum number of API calls per hour allowed.”

Followed by:

“Failed to initialize notification service nma”

And when this error occurs, I generally only have access to one of the notification services (i.e. I can only message either myself or my partner, but not both of us since one has errored out in the setup). I am using the template exactly as supplied by home assistant (https://www.home-assistant.io/components/notify.nma/), so have no idea what it is doing on the back end and if there is an error in that configuration

I noticed on the NMA webpage that there is the possibility of obtaining a developer key for when the maximum number of API calls are reached, so I have just emailed them to find out more. I have no idea why I would be exceeding this value anyway, as I am not using the service that frequently.

I was hoping that someone could shed some light on this issue for me?! Is this a home assistant issue or a nma issue?

Same here, tested if it works from lets say “Sonarr/Radarr” from my IP and it works to notify my phone. *non paid NMA

No solution up to today sadly

Bugger… I’m yet to receive a reply from nma. I might email them again in the hope of a response. Will update here if I find anything out.

So… case closed I guess? Notify My Android has ceased operation… https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/8l0cim/notify_my_android_is_dead/
