Nous Zigbee A1Z connected sockets don't execute on/off instruction

Hi,

I’m using Home Assistant with a VMWare virtual machine on a dedicated minicomputer under Windows 11. I have installed: Official Zigbee2MQTT Home Assistant addon. I get the information from the connected Zigbee devices.

I have 2 Nous Zigbee A1Z connected sockets that rarely respond to On or Off instructions, whether through automations, the device management screen (Settings / Devices and services) or Zigbee2MQTT.

Here’s the error message I get in Zigbee2MQTT when I send an Off instruction to one of the sockets:

Error 2024-01-03 11:24:27Publish ‘set’ ‘state’ to ‘Fibre_&_HA’ failed: ‘Error: Command 0xa4c13805404a1c08/1 genOnOff.on({}, {“sendWhen”:“immediate”,“timeout”:10000,“disableResponse”:false,“disableRecovery”:false,“disableDefaultResponse”:false,“direction”:0,“srcEndpoint”:null,“reservedBits”:0,“manufacturerCode”:null,“transactionSequenceNumber”:null,“writeUndiv”:false}) failed (Data request failed with error: ‘MAC channel access failure’ (225))’

LQI of socket ‘Fibre_&_HA’: 153

Do you have any ideas for solving this problem?

What additional information would you need?

Thanks in advance.

My Zigbee configuration:

  • SONOFF ZigBee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus Gateway

  • AEOTEC repeater

  • LiXee ZLinky_TIC

  • 2 SONOFF SNZB-02 Mini ZigBee Temperature and Humidity Sensor

  • 2 Nous A1Z Connected Sockets

My Fibre / Wifi configuration:

  • Box Red Fibre Wifi disabled

  • Wifi with 2 Deco P9 TP-Link in Access Point mode (connection to box via Ethernet cable).

I’ve tried using a Wifi plug, but when the Box is switched off with the automation switching the Wifi plug to Off, there’s no longer any Wifi and the plug can’t be switched back on by the automation.

Problem solved with a USB extension cable to keep the Sonoff dongle away from the computer.

I had changed the Zigbee channel thinking that this would be enough to solve the interference problems, I was wrong.
