Hi, would anyone here know how to implement a delayed launch of the Home Assistant Companion App using ultra-small-launcher.apk ?
I would like it to wait for Home Assistant to finish it’s boot sequence on power restore.
Thanks for any ideas!

I am really interested about this NSPanel Pro, but I also don’t like how Sonoff is trying to lock it.
Also, the latest firmware brought the ZigBee Router feature, which is very important.
Do you know if there is a chance to unlock this version?
Hi Guys,
I am totally lost what to do. Did the 5 times restart trick but I think I might have bricked it. I have had the qr code screen a couple of resets and now I’m in a worse position where I can get into dev mode or it tries to register or something but cannot.
Any help appreciated!
Hi,
I have something simlar but a step even worse. Anyway. when you say spamming adb install… can you please provide a step by step instructions as I am totally stuck on that screen.
Anyone is experiencing random reboots? It reboot itself once/twice per day…
I also had ADB access blocked, but after several attempts, probably after four restarts during the animated logo, I managed to force the system to reinstall. At the end of the reinstallation, you need to check whether the panel is connected and immediately install a small launcher. It may be helpful to turn on your computer’s sound so you can hear when the device appears. Afterward, install the latest firmware.
Hello @blakadder, first of all thanks for your work.
Did you manage to use NSPanel Pro as a ZigBee coordinator?
I would like use it on ZigBee2MQTT…
Thank you
Yes I had it working with Z2M but it wasn’t a stable solution
Thanks for your feedback
So no chance to get it stable?
could the 2.2 firmware with router mode have changed something on this side?
I think I might have bricked mine.
I did the 5 times reinstall method and it reinstalls but then it says that eWeLink has stopped (see screenshot)
and even though it is plugged in to my laptop it doesn’t pop up as a usb device.
Also with the 4 times restart mine shows installing system update. Do you guys have the same or yours show reinstall instead of system update.
I am slowly giving up as I cannot get access to it in any shape or form just go into the service mode.
Hi, I am on latest version, I enabled develope mode, connected and installed webview and automagic, but after reboot it just goes back to the default nspanel pro screen.
executing adb shell input keyevent 3
has no effect.
What am I doing wrong ?
OK, looks like it’s bricked now, stuck at the Sonoff logo
I read many things what about using the builtin Zigbee module as coordinator with Z2M. I don’t think this is a good idea. Use instead a supported adapter Supported Adapters | Zigbee2MQTT like the SONOFF ZBDongle-P.
Since NSPanel Pro firmware v2.2.0 there is support for running the builtin Zigbee module as a repeater. I’ve opened a GitHub issue with technical information about switching between Coordinator and Repeater mode without using the eWelink smartphone app.
After enabling developer mode in the eWelink smartphone app SONOFF marks the serial of the SONOFF NSPanel Pro as developer in the cloud, this can’t be undone. Since I’ve using it only for Home Assistant I don’t want to have neither the smartphone app or NSPanel app from SONOFF .
I’ve added all information in Switch between Zigbee Coordinator or Repeater mode · Issue #3 · seaky/nspanel_pro_roottool_apk · GitHub. I’ve also created a personal Gitlab repository to put all information and shell scripts in https://gitlab.com/svanrossem/sonoff-nspanelpro-scripts, this will be updated in a few days…
dis you solved this, i have the same
questions deleted, @seaky: the tools are great!
cant wait for new versions and hass integration
everything works, accept one issue i am still investigate…
Some dashboard views dont have content on the panelpro
still investigate why, rest is more then great
Got my second and third panel today. My first and oldest were shipped with v1.5(?) and setting up this was straight farward. The new ones were shipped with FW v2.2, also the recovery partition. Got the same error message; “cp: xwrite: No space left on device”. No matter if I reset it.
Solution was to install seaky’s roottool and install fw v1.7 according to instructions mentioned above here.
Now it works like a charm
Very happy with my nspanelpro with the hass app and de seaky tools!
Even voice commands works on the app!
To make it perfect, i need the use of wakewords on the NSpanel pro. Now i have to do 4 or 5 clicks , better is 0 clicks…
Wakewords could be a part of the companion app in the future. I am curious if someone has an alternative like tasker and android wakewords working on the nspanel pro and how you get these payed apps on the panel and how to configure them!
I’m with you, thanks! Got it loaded on the first try, actually.
Is it a requirement to complete the eWelink setup, or can you skip that and set launcher to default on the first boot?
