I have a few shields and home assistant discovered them. When Im playing something from youtube they show on and what is playing correctly. But if Im watching something else, like plex or youtube tv it doesnt show its even on.
Is anyone else having this issue or is it something Im missing?
What hass is finding is the shields built in chromecast. So the only thing you will get in the media player is what you cast, unfortunately. There is some options for getting more info with Tasker or something like that. Search the forums and you will find it.
