Starting a placeholder thread. OBSBOT releases some very nice webcam products at https://obsbot.com. As of a few weeks ago, they are now publishing SDK and developer-centric information. This would enable the creation of a Home Assistant integration for the cameras.
One example use case that I’m interested in is sleep and resume of the camera. IE something like “If HASS agent shows that Microsoft Teams is started, then wake the camera.”
Another might be to enable/disable specific features, such as tracking (most cameras are pan/tilt/zoom and can follow you around the room.)
Happy to collaborate with someone should they begin work on an integration.
