Hello. I originally reported this as a bug, but was told to re-report it as a feature request.
Unlike the brother printer integration, which links all entities to a single device, the octoprint integration shows all the sensor values for my 3d printer as individual sensor entities. This makes them far more annoying to deal with in the auto-generated lovelace UI as I cannot assign them to an area, and they are generally harder to read. The default appearance for deviceless entities is not well suited for entities which should all be part of the same device. Having a device to ties the entities to also allows for easy access to automations through it’s device page in the configuration.
Screenshots of the Brother printer vs my 3d printer are included below. I had to combine them as new users are only allowed to post one image.
I guess the feature request is to treat each 3d printer as a device rather than as separate entities.
