Odroid n2 + not being recognised on a computer

I was also having trouble with the Odroid N2+ not being recognized as a USB drive. The problem was that the USB 2.0 to micro USB cable I was using was just a charging cable. A true data cable needs to be used.

If you want to know about Linux and other things like that, it is best to ask on a Linux forum.
Remember this forum is specifically for Home Assistant andt the advice is sound.
If you want to run Home Assistant, run HAOS like was intended. The odroid, although powerful, is not designed to run multiple operating systems.
If your home automation is just a game and not serious, then mess around with your Blue.
If you want your home automation to be reliable, listen to realistic advice. Setup your Blue / Odroid as it was intended and get another machine, such as a cheap small form factor computer, to play on.
Home Assistant runs in a Linux Operating System, and to run it as an appliance, you use the Home Assistant Operating System, HAOS.

Given you have said you are not technically savvy and do not understand the basics of operating systems, you really need to ask in the beginners forums for OpenAndroid and lets say Debian or Ubuntu Linux as Debian and Ubnutu are probably the ones you will find the most active forums for.

That’s a good pickup. So many “cheap” cables out their don’t perform the way they should, or are charging (power supply) only.
